Applications for Drawdown Georgia’s Climate Solutions and Equity grants are now OPEN!

These grants aim to advance climate solutions while promoting equity in Georgia. Five applicants will receive two-year grants of $100,000 per year to accomplish these goals in 2024-25.

Successful proposals will focus on efforts to advance or expand access to at least one of these solutions in BIPOC communities across Georgia:

  • Alternative Transportation
  • Climate-Smart Agriculture
  • Composting
  • Energy Efficiency Improvements
  • Food Waste Reduction
  • Large-Scale Solar
  • Plant-Based Diets
  • Rooftop Solar
  • Tree Planting
  • Wetlands Protection

This grant is proudly funded by five family foundations: The R. Howard Dobbs, Jr. Foundation and its Dobbs Fund, The Wilbur and Hilda Glenn Family Foundation, The Ray C. Anderson Foundation’s NextGen Committee, The Ghanta Family Foundation, and The Reilly Family Foundation.

Why climate solutions and equity? Drawdown Georgia describes disparities between communities, in terms of climate change, as the leading force behind the climate justice movement. For that reason, we are called to find solutions for climate and equity together.

Interested in applying? Visit Drawdown Georgia’s grant page to learn more about the Climate Solutions and Equity grants. Applicants should submit a Letter of Introduction by July 7th to be eligible.
